Standard Normal Coupler
Threaded mechanical coupler for standard same-diameter or transition splicing. Full tensile strength with 30-second CNC threading. Proven across 1,000+ Hong Kong projects, compliant with HK CoP 2013 Cl. 3.2.8.3, AC133, and BS8110.
SEISPLICE
Standard Ductility Coupler
Passes cyclic tension-compression testing to Stages 1–3 (0.95fy, 2Ey, 5Ey). For seismic zones, columns, and CoP 2013 Cl. 9.9.1.2(e) / 9.9.2.1(e) locations. Engineered to meet international seismic standards as Bosa expands into new markets.

Every Bosa coupler is manufactured and tested to meet or exceed the requirements of the Hong Kong Code of Practice for Structural Use of Concrete 2013, with full traceability through HOKLAS-accredited laboratories. Non-Ductility Coupler
Cl. 3.2.8.3
Type 1 couplers (SERVISPLICE) must develop the full tensile strength of the connected bars in a static tensile test. The connection must be stronger than the bar — a bar-break result is the acceptance criterion.
Ductility Coupler
Cl. 3.2.8.4
Type 2 couplers (SEISPLICE, ISPLICE, GROUTSPLICE) must pass cyclic tension-compression testing across three stages, simulating seismic loading conditions. Required at all CoP 2013 Cl. 9.9.1.2(e) and 9.9.2.1(e) locations.
Batch Testing Schedule
All production batches are tested at a HOKLAS-accredited laboratory in Hong Kong. Specimen count scales with batch size to ensure statistical confidence. Equivalent third-party testing will be established in each new market.

Go/No-Go Gauge Inspection
Every coupler undergoes Go/No-Go gauge inspection prior to dispatch. Thread geometry is verified against dimensional tolerances to ensure field installation meets design intent. Non-conforming units are rejected and quarantined.
Bosa is actively pursuing compliance with ACI 318 (US) and AS 3600 (Australia) as part of our international expansion.
